Commercial van specialist LDV has recalled thousands of its vans for repairs after a defect relating to the airbags was discovered.
The recall affects the 2024 to 2026 LDV Deliver 9 and LDV eDeliver 9 - combustion and electric models - with a total 4027 units listed in the recall.
Via a statement on the Australian Government's Vehicle Recalls site, regulated by the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications, Sport and the Arts, LDV says the airbag may activate unexpectedly.

“Due to a manufacturing defect, the Airbag Control Unit (ACU) software may have been calibrated with higher than intended sensitivity,” the statement said.
“As a result, the driver, passenger, curtain airbags and/or seat mounted side airbags may activate unexpectedly whilst driving.”
A list of the vehicle identification numbers (VINs) for affected vehicles is available on the website, though local LDV importer Ateco is also in the process of contacting owners of these vehicles.
“Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted in writing requesting they make an appointment at their preferred LDV Dealership to have the repair carried out, free of charge.”
It’s the first recall published for LDV since November 2024, that being one of three LDV recalls for that year.
