Porsche Panamera GTS 2019 pricing and spec confirmed

Porsche Cars Australia has announced it will add two GTS variants to its 2019 Panamera range.

The GTS models will be for the hatch-bodied Panamera and wagon-bodied Panamera Sport Turismo respectively. The latter will be the first wagon-bodied Panamera to wear the GTS badge.

Under the bonnet is a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 which produces 338kW/620Nm, a 15kW/100Nm increase over the last-generation Panamera GTS.

As usual, power is sent to all four wheels via Porsche’s 'PDK' dual-clutch transmission. Both GTS variants will accelerate from 0-100km/h in just 4.1 seconds.

The new Panamera also commands a $44,400 price increase over its predecessor, now weighing in at $364,100. The Sport Turismo costs a further $7300 at $371,400.

Porsche says its ‘Chrono Package’ is included on the GTS variants as well as the ‘Porsche Advanced Cockpit’ standard across the 2019 Panamera range. 

The GTS also brings with it 20-inch alloy wheels, adaptive air suspension with ‘three chamber technology’, 10mm lower ride height and the ‘Sport Design’ package including various exterior trim upgrades and Alcantara interior trim.

There is a focus on alcantara trim inside the GTS.

Tech features include the aforementioned head-up display as well as the ‘Connect Plus’ multimedia system with Apple CarPlay, Porsche app connectivity, adaptive cruise control, surround view reversing camera, and heated steering wheel with paddle-shifters.

Optional extras include four-wheel steering and a ‘GTS’ interior package with more customisable trim.

The price and spec level for the GTS places it between the 4S and Turbo.

The Panamera GTS is claimed to consume 10.3L/100km for the hatch and 10.6L/100km for the Sport Turismo.

The price and specification of the GTS variants will place them between the $318,600 Panamera 4S and $384,500 Panamera Turbo.
