The Kamiq will officially enter Australian showrooms in late September.

Skoda Australia has released pricing and specification details for the all-new Kamiq light SUV ahead of deliveries starting from late next month.

The Kamiq is available in three grades from launch, with the entry-level 85TSI priced from $26,990 plus on-road costs with a six-speed manual or $27,990 with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic (DSG).

Standard equipment in the 85TSI grade includes dusk-sensing lights, rain-sensing wipers, 18-inch Crafter alloy wheels, power-folding side mirrors with heating, black window surrounds, brushed-aluminium roof rails, rear privacy glass, LED tail-lights and a power-operated tailgate.

Inside, an 8.0-inch touchscreen Bolero multimedia system, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, an eight-speaker sound system, a digital instrument cluster, a wireless smartphone charger, keyless entry and start, dual-zone climate control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a leather-trimmed flat-bottom steering wheel, ambient lighting, a double-sided cargo mat and a rear cargo net feature.

Advanced driver-assist systems extend to autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, driver attention alert, hill-start assist, tyre pressure monitoring, a reversing camera and rear parking sensors plus seven airbags (dual front, front-side and curtain plus driver’s knee).

The 110TSI Monte Carlo steps up with sports suspension (15mm lower), drive modes, adaptive LED headlights, black 18-inch Vega alloy wheels, black exterior trim, a panoramic sunroof, sports seats, sports pedals and a black headliner.

Over the 85TSI variants, the 110TSI Limited Edition adds adaptive LED headlights, a 9.2-inch touchscreen Amundsen multimedia system with voice control, satellite navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay support, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front and rear seats, leather/suede upholstery, park assist and front parking sensors.

Two option packs are available with the 85TSI versions, including the $4100 Driver Support Pack (a power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front and rear seats, leather/suede upholstery, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert and park assist) and $3800 Tech Pack (adaptive LED headlights, a 9.2-inch touchscreen Amundsen multimedia system with voice control, satellite navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay support and Skoda sound system).

Only one option pack is available with the 110TSI Monte Carlo, with the $4300 Travel Pack adding a 9.2-inch touchscreen Amundsen multimedia system with voice control, satellite navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay support, Skoda sound system, paddle-shifters, heated front and rear seats, blind-spot monitoring and park assist.

A panoramic sunroof can be added to the 85TSI grade or 110TSI Limited Edition for $1300, while the latter get a factory-fitted tow bar for $1200 alongside the 110TSI Monte Carlo. Metallic and pearl-effect paintwork options cost $550, while the Velvet Red premium hue charged $1110.

According to Skoda Australia, wireless Android Auto support will become available in the Mazda CX-3 and Volkswagen T-Cross rival by the end of this year.

The Kamiq comes with a five-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty, while capped-price servicing plans are available, with three years costing $800, while an extra two charges $600 more.
