Both the HS Essence and Essence Anfield variants will be arriving in local showroom later this month.
The HS Essence Anfield wears a black metallic exterior (an exclusive colour), which is contrasted with a red-leather interior.
Equipment such as autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, sunroof, sports seats, surround-view monitor, 18-inch wheels, dual-zone climate control, Apple CaPlay/Android Auto and satellite navigation carry over.
Powering the HS Essence Anfield is a 124kW/250Nm 1.5-litre engine that drives the front wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Meanwhile, the ZS Essence Anfield is due to land in early July, and sports a high-gloss black front grille, red accents on the front and rear bumpers, and either a black or white paint finish.
Inside, the limited-run ZS scores a black and red fabric interior, while equipment such as 17-inch wheels, panoramic sunroof, 8.0-inch multimedia touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and satellite navigation, and reversing camera carry over from the standard Essence grade.
The ZS Essence Anfield is powered by an 82kW/160Nm 1.0-litre turbo-petrol three-cylinder engine, which sends drive to the front wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission.
Both Essence Anfield editions celebrate MG’s continued global partnership with Liverpool FC, who just took out the 2019-2020 Premier League title.
