New Hyundai Santa Fe 2020 teased: Fresh looks coming for Mazda CX-9-rivalling large SUV

Hyundai’s new Santa Fe large SUV is expected to hit showrooms later this year, and will come with an electrified engine option.

Hyundai has teased its fresh-faced Santa Fe large SUV due to be launched locally later this year with two images of the new car’s front grille.

Though the South Korean brand is yet to detail why the new Santa Fe will feature two different looks, it is expected that one will be for the standard large SUV line-up, while the other could be for an electrified variant.

It was previously revealed that the Santa Fe will likely be offered with a mild hybrid and plug-in hybrid set-up, though whether both will arrive in local showrooms is still unclear.

The second front grille could also be adorning an N-Line variant, Hyundai’s ever expanding sporty-looking line-up that already encompasses the i30 hatchback and upcoming Sonata sedan.

Differentiating the new grille from the existing car is a wider design with a chrome outline, while the daytime running lights are now incorporated into the slim headlights, illuminating in a T shape.

Hyundai Australia promises that the new Santa Fe will sport “a rugged yet refined exterior design, as well as interior design updates providing premium amenities and comfort”.

Changes to the cabin of the new Santa Fe are currently unknown, but the South Korean brand is promising more information soon.
