Mercedes-AMG GLC 43, GLC 43 Coupe, GLE 43, and GLE 43 Coupe 2017 | new car sales price

Mercedes-Benz has announced the prices of the AMG '43' variants of the GLC and GLE range; GLC 43 Coupe to arrive early next year.

Following the recent introduction of the C 43 AMG family, Mercedes-Benz has continued the momentum of their product offensive with the introduction of the GLC 43, GLE 43, GLE 43 Coupe, and upcoming GLC 43 Coupe.

All four variants sport AMG's 3.0-litre twin-turbo petrol V6 which produces 270kW and 520Nm of torque. Paired to Mercedes-Benz's latest 9G-Tronic nine-speed automatic and with power fed through AMG's rear-biased 4Matic all-wheel drive system, the GLC 43 and GLC 43 Coupe is able to sprint from 0 to 100km/h in 4.9 seconds, whereas the larger and heavier GLE 43 and GLE 43 Coupe does the century sprint in 5.7 seconds.

As befitting of an AMG model, all variants too come with AMG-specific suspension fitments, with handling for both the GLC and GLE pair benefiting from tweaks done to its air suspension systems and the ADS Plus continuous variable damping system.

To mask its gargantuan size and mass however the GLE 43 and GLE 43 Coupe gets Active Curve System active roll stabilisation, which uses active anti-roll bars on the front and rear axles to keep the ride comfortable and level.

All variants come brimmed with safety features.

The GLC 43 and GLC 43 Coupe comes with equipped with 21-inch AMG wheels, leather upholstery, Comand Online navigation, head-up display, and a Burmester surround sound system as standard. As for the GLE 43 and GLE 43 Coupe, it comes fitted with 21-inch and 22-inch AMG wheels respectively, and a Harmon Kardon surround sound system as standard.

All variants come brimmed with safety features, including nine airbags, a 360-degree surround-view camera, LED Intelligent Light System with Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus, the Driver Assistance Package Plus with Distronic Plus with Steering Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Active Blind Spot Assist, Pre-Safe Plus, and Pre-Safe Brake with pedestrian detection.

While the GLC 43 and GLC 43 Coupe are new additions to the GLC SUV range, the GLE 43 and GLE 43 Coupe are both rehashes of the GLE 450 AMG and GLE 450 AMG Coupe under Mercedes-Benz's new naming convention. The name change comes after Mercedes-Benz's decision to cease the AMG Sport range earlier this year, in favour of streamlining it under the Mercedes-AMG brand with the '43' designation.

According to Mercedes-Benz, the GLC 43, GLE 43, and GLE 43 Coupes are available from local dealerships now while the GLC 43 Coupe is set to arrive in early 2017.
