Geely’s premium electric brand Zeekr has revealed pricing and specifications for its people mover – the 009.
Prices start at $135,900 before on-road costs for the seven-seat all-wheel drive and $139,900 for the six-seat all-wheel drive.
The 009 undercuts its key rival, the hybrid-powered Lexus LM, which starts at $160,272 before on-road costs, or at least $24,372 more.
It is still placed as a considerably more expensive alternative to the diesel-powered Mercedes V-class V250, which starts at $113,832 before on-road costs. The 009 gains considerably more standard features, though.
Despite its strong value case, the 009 is unlikely to challenge the less luxe-focused Kia Carnival's title as Australia's best-selling people mover, which starts at $50,150 before on-road costs for the Carnival S.
The 009 is considerably longer and wider than the Lexus LM, which it exceeds by 89mm in length, 134mm in width and a staggering 335mm between the wheels. The 009 is at least 128mm shorter than the LM350h, though.
All up the 009 is 5209mm long, 2024mm wide, 1812mm tall, with a wheelbase of 3205mm.
Differences between the two variants comes down primarily to their seating configurations, which is a 2:2:3 layout on the seven-seat variant and a 2:2:2 layout on the six-seat variant, though there are some additional extras the six-seat variant adds.
The list of standard features is extensive but it is headlined by several key luxury features. That starts with interior upholstery, with each seat cladded in full-grain Nappa leather, in addition to heating, massage and ventilation functions for the first and second row, along with a reclining function for the third row.
First row seats get 12-way electronic adjustment, while the second-row ‘aviation-type’ seats get 14-way electrical adjustments with retractable tray tables, cupholders and a storage compartment. There are twin fixed glass roofs in the front row and second row, both of which are fitted with electric power shades.
A 15.05-inch 2.5K OLED multimedia touchscreen, compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, stands as the cabin's centrepiece and is accompanied by a 10.25-inch HD digital driver’s display, a 35.95-inch augmented reality head-up display and a rear 17.0-inch 3K OLED touchscreen for rear passenger entertainment.
There is a 30-speaker Yamaha surround sound system, a 50W wireless charging pad, three-zone climate control with an air purification system, an 8.6-litre fridge in the second row, ambient lighting, 5G/Wifi connectivity and an AI-powered voice-controlled virtual assistant.
The six-seat variant adds Nappa leather and chrome trim to the tray tables on the second-row seats, in addition to retractable mobile phone storage boxes, open storage space near the outer arm rests that are wider and longer, a sliding open armrest with hidden controls, ‘open-type’ cup holders with ambient lighting and a heating function integrated with the leg rests. In also has 50:50 split backrest for the third row.
Both variants are underpinned by the same 116kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which is mated to twin silicon-carbide e-motors; a configuration the brand says is good for 450kW/693Nm, 582km of WLTP-rated range and a dazzling 0-100km/h time of 4.86 seconds.
It has a DC fast-charging capacity of 205kW, which will see the battery charge from 10 to 80 per cent in 30 minutes at maximum capacity.

It has three-phase, 11kW AC charging capacity as well, which means the battery can charge at home from 0 to 100 per cent in 13.5 hours. There is 3.3kW vehicle-to-load functionality, too.
To ensure a smooth and quiet ride, the electric powertrain has been paired with dual-chamber air suspension, electromagnetic continuously controlled damping and specially-designed 20-inch aero alloy wheels that are wrapped in Michelin Sport Pilot EV tyres.
For no additional cost, the interior and exterior colour combinations can be configured with five paint options – Crystal White, Grey Purple, Mineral Green, Electric Blue, Phantom Black – and four interior options – Stone Black, Stone Grey & Polar White, Midnight Blue & Polar White and Jade Green.
In terms of safety, both variants are equipped with seven airbags and a long list of advanced driver assistance systems which includes – but is not limited to – adaptive cruise control, automated parking assist, blind spot detection, a digital video recorder, forward collision warning, front cross traffic assist, hands-off detection, lane departure warning, rear cross traffic alert and a surround-view monitor.
The 009 is supported by a five-year/unlimited km warranty as well as an 8-year/160,000km battery warranty, with service recommended every two years or 40,000km, which ever comes first.
The Zeekr 009 is available for pre-order now, with deliveries expected to commence before the end of this year.
