The current-generation Renault Koleos has been on sale in Australia for over nine years now and it seems it will be sticking around for another year as another minor tweak has been made.
Renault has now introduced a new entry-level trim to the range called the Koleos Evolution. Deliveries start this month.
Replacing the Koleos Zen in the line-up, the Koleos Evolution starts at $34,990 before on-road costs, which is the most affordable Koleos model since 2022.

The Koleos Intens 4x2 and 4x4 remain are currently priced at $39,990 drive-away and $42,990 drive-away, respectively, until the end of June.
A full pricing table is available at the bottom of this story.
The Koleos Evolution, like the rest of the line-up, is powered by a 2.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine producing 126kW and 226Nm.
This is mated to a continuously variable transmission with drive sent to the front wheels only.
Standard equipment for the Koleos Evolution virtually mirrors what the outgoing Koleos Zen had.
This means 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels, LED headlights, LED reversing lights, hands-free powered tailgate, hands-free key card, 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, 8.7-inch touchscreen multimedia system, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, eight-speed Arkamys sound system, dual-zone climate control, black leather upholstery, powered driver’s seat and heated front seats.
On the safety front there’s six airbags, autonomous emergency braking (AEB) at interurban speeds, blind-spot monitoring, lane departure warning, a reversing camera, as well as front, side and rear parking sensors.
The entire Koleos range continues to be covered by a seven-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty.
Australia is one of the last markets to still offer the current-generation Renault Koleos, which is made in South Korea as part of a Renault-Samsung joint venture. It’s based on the previous-generation Nissan X-Trail.
Globally Renault has two potential successors in the form of the new X-Trail-based Espace and Geely-sourced Grand Koleos. At this stage both of these models are only produced in left-hand drive.
