...winter is the time of the year when we need to be particularly wary of wildlife on country roads.
In NSW alone last year just one insurance company had thousands of claims from incidents involving animals – most of the cases involved Kangaroos.
We will have a chat to our road safety expert RW a little later about how we can avoid hitting wildlife on the roads.
Also it is extremely important that you do the right thing after hitting an animal both for the animal’s welfare and your own safety.
Did you know that one pedestrian is either injured or killed on Australian roads every day with many of these accidents being blamed on distraction from personal music players or mobile phones?
