Alfa Romeo 4C 2020 pricing and spec confirmed: Competizione Limited Edition lands

Power comes courtesy of a 177kW/350Nm 1.75-litre turbo-petrol four in the Alfa Romeo 4C Competizione Limited Edition.

Alfa Romeo’s 4C sport car has gained a new ultra-exclusive flagship variant in the form of the Competizione Limited Edition that will land in Australian showrooms priced from $119,900 before on-road costs.

With a $30,900 premium over the entry-level 4C coupe upon which it is based, Alfa Romeo will only offer 10 units of the Competizione Limited Edition out of a totally global production run of 108 vehicles.

The extra spend will net buyers an Akrapovic exhaust system finished, retuned sports suspension and stickier Pirelli tyres for the 18-inch front and 19-inch rear alloy wheels that are now finished in a darker colour.

The 4C Competizione Limited Edition can also be distinguished by its ‘Vesuvio Matte Grey’ paint job with exposed carbon-fibre for the roof, rear spoiler, mirror covers and side air intakes, as well as unique bonnet and roof livery featuring the Alfa Romeo logo.

Inside, black leather and microfibre with red stitching feature on the sports seats and steering wheel, while a numbered limited edition badge and unique dashboard insert can also be found.

An uprated Alpine sound system and subwoofer are also fitted.

The 4C Competizione Limited Edition retains the standard car’s 1.75-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which outputs 177kW of power and 350Nm of torque to the rear axle via a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

As a result, the mid-engine sports car will accelerate from zero to 100km/h in 4.5 seconds, and features a top speed of 258km/h.

Alfa Romeo also offers a drop-top 4C Targa at $99,000.

The Alfa Romeo 4C competes against other lightweight mid-engine sports cars such as the Alpine A110, Porsche Cayman and Lotus Exige.
