Nissan Australia has revealed when the third-generation Qashqai small SUV will go on sale.
As expected, following its international debut in February, the new Qashqai will local enter showrooms early next year, although Nissan Australia has stopped short of providing any further details.
That said, we do know the next Qashqai will be offered with the Japanese brand’s emerging ePower hybrid powertrain, which exclusively drives the front wheels via a 140kW/330Nm electric motor, while a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine is solely responsible for charging its battery along the way.

The fresh Qashqai is all but confirmed to be also available with a more traditional petrol engine, with a 116kW/270Nm 1.3-litre turbocharged four-cylinder unit likely, although whether it would come with mild hybridisation in Australia remains to be seen.
Needless to say, there are plenty of question marks still hanging over the new MG ZS, Hyundai Kona, Mitsubishi ASX, Mazda CX-30 and Kia Seltos rival, but while we wait for answers, you can check out our detailed coverage of its reveal by clicking on the links above.
