2021 Nissan Navara pricing and specs detailed: Active safety won't come cheap in new Ford Ranger, Toyota HiLux and Mitsubishi Triton rival

Nissan’s new Navara is due to hit showroom next month, and is offered with drive-away promotional pricing.

Nissan Australia has outed full pricing and specifications for its 2021 Navara ute range, with the costs up by as much as $5150 thanks to the standard fitment of advanced safety features.

Kicking off the range as before is the 4x2 SL Single Cab Chassis manual, which cops the largest price hike from $27,150 before on-road costs to $32,300 (+$5150), while an automatic version adds $2500 to the bottom line.

New in 2021 is the 4x2 SL King Cab Chassis, available exclusively with an auto transmission for $38,800.

The SL grade can also be had in 4x2 Dual Cab Pick Up form, which is up $4750 from last year to $39,600 and $42,100 for the manual and auto respectively.

Rounding out the 4x2 range is the auto-only ST and ST-X Dual Cab Pick Ups, priced at $47,780 (+$3230) and $51,270 (+$2020) each.

For the 4x4 line-up, the base SL Single Cab Chassis rises $4950 to $39,300, with the auto again commanding a $2500 premium.

The new SL King Cab can also be had in Cab Chassis and Pick Up forms with the 4x4 driveline, asking $45,800 and $47,600 of buyers, while the ST-X King Cab Pick up with added grip is $58,270 (+$3870).

Carrying over from before, the SL Dual Cab Chassis is now $4900 more expensive in both manual and auto ($44,800 and $47,300 respectively), but the Pick Up versions only jump up $900 ($46,600 and $49,100 for the manual and auto).

Moving up the 4x4 ST Dual Cab Pick Up, prices are now $52,280 and $54,780 – up $3530 from last year – with the ST-X grade now $55,770 and $58,270, increasing $1870 from before.

Sitting atop the 2021 Navara range – at least until a new Warrior version lands – is the PRO-4X, priced at $58,130 and $60,630 in manual and auto forms. This represents a modest $1030 jump over last year’s N-Trek grade.

While the recommended retail pricing of the 2021 Navara range is up from last year, Nissan Australia is launching select variants of the new ute with special drive-away pricing available to private and business buyers.

Pricing listed on the Nissan Australia website indicate private buyers can have the 4x2 SL Single Cab Chassis manual for $33,890, while the PRO-4X is priced at $61,290 (manual) and $62,790 (auto).

ABN holders meanwhile, save a bit more on the drive-away price, as reported in late December.

Nissan Australia is yet to divulge a full specification breakdown across the new Navara line-up, but standard equipment on the SL grade includes 17-inch steel wheels, 8.0-inch multimedia touchscreen, 7.0-inch driver display, and powered windows and door mirrors.

Safety will also be boosted significantly in the new model thanks to autonomous emergency braking (AEB), reversing camera, hill-star assist, automatic headlights, cruise control, seven airabags and trailer sway control fitted at no extra cost.

Stepping up to the ST grade will net buyers satellite navigation, digital radio, 17-inch alloy wheels, leather-accented steering wheel and shifter, polished sports bar and LED headlights.

ST variants also gain rear cross-traffic alert, a surround-view monitor, lane departure warning, automatic wipers, blind-spot monitoring and high-beam assist.

The ST-X meanwhile, adds a towbar, 18-inch wheels, dual-zone climate control, push-button start, tyre pressure monitoring, rear parking sensors and auto-folding side mirrors.

Sitting atop the Navara tree is the PRO-4X, which gains a unique exterior look thanks to a bespoke bumper and front grille, and blacked-out accessories, but also leather-accented seats and all-terrain tyres.

All new Navaras will be powered by a 140kW/450Nm 2.3-litre twin-turbo-diesel engine, with the exception of the base SL 4x2 manual that is fitted with a single-turbo version outputting 120kW/403Nm.
