2017 Isuzu D-Max X-Runner | new car sales price

Isuzu is celebrating its 100th birthday with a special edition 2017 D-Max X-Runner, now in showrooms.

At $46,990 drive-away the X-Runner is based on the 2017 D-Max LS-U crew cab which has recently undergone its first update in five years. The X-Runner gains all of the improvements from the update – an Aussie developed engine, upgraded media display and front-end restyling – plus a host of special features.

There's the red badging on the grille and steering wheel, unique alloy wheels, gunmetal grey side steps, X-Runner side decals, 100th anniversary badges, a black sports bar, heavy duty tub liner, rear parking sensors, black and red seats, climate control and a touch screen with reversing camera.

The X-Runner also gains the LS-U's standard features such as LED DRLs, front fog lights, an eight-speaker sound system, leather-wrapper steering wheel, carpet floors and LED taillights.

The X-Runner is powered by the D-Max's new 130kW/430Nm 3.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine. Available only with a six-speed automatic transmission, the X-Runner is equipped with high and low range four-wheel drive.

Is the D-Max X-Runner the perfect work and play truck? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
