Unsatisfied with paint protection

Last year I helped a friend to buy a new Hyundai ix35 AWD and told her she shouldn't need or buy any extras, especially paint protection. Before delivery, the store's accessories woman phoned my friend and got her to buy nearly $2000 worth of paint protection and polishes. She promised a certificate of application, a bug splatter-free surface and a boot load of products. We received no certificate, stained interior surfaces, bug splatter that had to be scrubbed off and four small bottles of product she will never use, along with a dirty cleaning cloth. We were also handed a disgraceful attitude just short of calling us liars. Never again.

We've been warning for a long time that some dealerships are using this sort of thing as a major profit centre, when much of it is unnecessary and you can get it for less at a specialist company.
