    Toyota RAV4 2011: Expensive extended warranty service?

    I bought the 6-year extended warranty at the time I purchased my 2011 Toyota RAV4. It's now due for the 48-month service, and when I rang one dealer I was quoted $975 for a major service. A bit stunned I rang another dealer and was quoted $275 for the "extended warranty service", but no one could really explain the difference. Which service do I take to keep up my extended warranty?

    You need to read the warranty to check on what service provisions it might contain. Some extended warranties require you to have the car serviced by the dealer who sold you the warranty.
