Kia Cerato 2016: Speedo overstates my true speed, can it be fixed?

I'm very happy with my 2016 Kia Cerato, but it bugs me that the speedo overstates my true speed by heaps. For example, when my GPS shows the true speed at 78 or 79 km/h, the car's speedo shows about 86 or 87. I appreciate that these figures are within 10 %, which I understand to be the regulated limit and I suppose I can adjust accordingly, but surely it's really not good enough. The dealer says it can't be changed, is that really correct?

It’s something that bugs a lot of drivers, but unfortunately there’s not a lot that can be done about it until the lawmakers change the rule and force carmakers to be more accurate. I understand it’s not good enough, but I would suggest you go by what the GPS says.
