With reference to a recent reader's question about a Kia Optima with an automatic transmission that was slow in upshifting I would like to tell you of the experience I have had with my Kia Cerato auto. I have found that changing the oil every 20,000 km, and using synthetic oil, stops the auto from feeling lazy!
Changing the transmission oil regularly is a good thing to do, it will keep the transmission alive and well for many thousands of kilometres to come.
