Idle Nissan Patrol

Asked by Keith Wilson

My 1993 Nissan 4.2-litre dual-fuel Nissan Patrol runs fine on LPG, but idles roughly and cuts out on petrol. I have twice had it to the garage, but they cannot fix it. Could you shed some light on this problem?

It's most likely that the fuel pump is worn out and needs replacing. It often happens when you run the petrol level down too low.
