Asked by Rod
My 2005 Hyundai V6 AWD Tucson stalls when the engine idles. This seems to happen when first driving it for about five to 10 minutes then seems to be okay. Does not happen all the time, but is becoming more frequent.
Answered by CarsGuide
1 Mar 2019The problem is with the cold idle speed, which should be higher than the regular idle speed when it’s warmed up. There should be a stepper motor that sets the cold idle speed higher than normal, so check that.
