    Ask Smithy Xtra Extended warranty for Navara

    Nissan Nissan Advice Nissan Navara Nissan Navara Advice Nissan Navara 2011
    I have been advised by the local Nissan Service department to take out an extended warranty on my Nissan Navara RX King Cab because of timing chain stretching problems they have. But, then their next advice was that this was mainly in the Spanish assembled Dual Cab model and not the Thailand assembled model, which is what I have. Have you had any experience or knowledge of this problem?

    My contacts say there is no problem with the chain on the D40, bearing in mind that all chains will stretch over time, so you have to suspect the service guy is trying to sell you something you don’t need. On top of that there should be no difference between the Spanish sourced model and the one from Thailand, as the engine is the same in both.
