    2008 Ford G6 manual gearbox noises

    Loud bangs come from my 2008 Ford G6 when I move the gearstick from Park to Reverse or from Neutral to Drive. This has happened since the beginning, but it appears to be getting louder and happens more often. My Ford service provider tells me that the car has the 5- speed gearbox. Is this is a problem?

    Take it back to your dealer and ask him to reset the computer to soften the gear selection.  He should have a recalibration available to do it for you.
