Navara makes pinging noise when cold

The motor in my 2007 Nissan Navara 2.5-litre turbo-diesel stutters or hesitates and makes a pinging noise when it's cold, but it's okay when it's warm. I have had it to two mechanics and they couldn't fix it. What's wrong?

Check the injectors, your problems are most likely there.

  • There is a ‘recall’ for this.  Take it to nissan.  its a fuel solenoid? circa $600 fitted.  Apparently the ecu cant see the throttle position?
