Q

My 2004 VY Holden Commodore wagon has given me no trouble, but my husband thinks it is getting too old and will soon start to need some work. I think it will keep going forever, just so long as we maintain it well. What do you think?

A

It's impossible to predict what might happen in the future, but I would tend to agree with you. I don't see any reason to sell it; it's only six years old and providing you keep it well maintained there's no reason to think it won't continue to give you good service for some years to come.

  • We have a 2001 VX Commodore 7 seat wagon with 307,000kms on it and apart from servicing and some normal wear and tear items (suspension bushes & shocks) it is still going strong. With care these wagons seem to keep going forever and we will be keeping ours as it’s trade in value is almost nothing and petrol and rego is it’s highest costs.
