  • It is sad to see the closure of Oran Park..  My brother Richard Copley was a committee man and died on the opening day 25th March 1962, cannot believe nearly 50 years have passed…

  • why did’nt they leave the road or part there of and build a family park around it using the tarmac as cycleway, boardway or build the estate around it and making use of what is already there at least there would be some sort of a monument. JUST WASTE ALL OF THAT GOOD BITUMN AND CONCRETE SO CALLED ENVIRO FRIENDLY GOVERMENT DEPARTMENTS AND GREADY PEOPLE F$$$WITS

  • This country we live in has become a joke !! every day the news is plastered with idiots being idiots on the streets and taking innocent lives, and our fantastic government spends millions of dollars trying to reduce our road death toll , why would you let a place like this go for probably a fraction of there budget , this is a place where so many could go and let it all hang out , Race cars , Road cars , Rally cars , Driver training , 4WD , Go carts , Motor X , What does NSW have to offer Motor Racers & Spectators !!!  This place was a big part of my life along with Amaroo and it piss’s me off, Who’s the IDIOTS

  • Its disgusting, just like amaroo!! NSW government should be ashamed of itself no matter who is in power at the time. I hope that your proud of yourself for killing the motorsport heritage in this state!!! There is plenty of surrounding land to build houses on. At 40 years young, even I know this!!! SHAME SHAME SHAME!!! I am truly saddened :(

  • Plenty of land up that way and Camden. Could have kept the raceway as well as built hundreds of homes.

  • mmm, its a sad day for Australian motorsport but that’s progress for ya and truth that everyone and everything really does have a price. I regret not taking my little hot hatch out for a track day! :-(

  • Its a disgrace I think. A beautiful estate could have been built around it, a motorsport park, much like the ones in the states were the wealthy have a runway. Surely, 250 homes etc, with a premium placed on their prices, with direct access to the track could have worked!? How much up keep would the track need with such small usage! It sucks!
