The world?s most sought-after calendar could be yours.

Only 10,000 copies of the Pirelli Calendar are printed each year, and it’s not for sale. The calendar is only ever given away, with the mailing list held as a closely-guarded secret, and only 238 will come to Australia.

Carsguide has managed to get hold of one of those, and together with Pirelli, is offering the chance to win it.

As usual, it features beautiful girls, but this year they have been put in some bizarre situations, in one case in tears with a huge insect crawling on the model’s face.

To enter Carsguide’s calendar competition, tell us if you think the 2009 Pirelli Calendar is beautiful or bizarre – and why. The best comment before January 16 will win the calendar, a couple of early examples of which have already sold on ebay for around $1000.

This competition has now closed and the Carsguide teams thanks everyone for their participation and great entries.

The winner of the 2009 Pirelli Calendar is Jasmine Jones (comment posted January 15 2009). Congratulations Jasmine from everyone at Carsguide.

The Italian tyre company is also offering the chance to win a Volkswagen Pirelli Golf GTI and other prizes – including $100,000 in cash. To enter their competition, buy a Pirelli tyre at any of the participating stores before 30 April 2009, go to pirelliclub.com.au/golf to enter your purchase details.

  • The calender is just strange, what do elephants have to do with an Italian tyre.

  • It's a fantastic calandar this year. Really embodies the shared beauty between the female form and the natural landscapes in the background. The images remind us of what we have to lose both in the beauty and life in not only our lives, but in our environment that we live in.

  • No wonder it's not for sale, no-one would buy it.

  • Derek Zoolander would be proud... Great looking girls though!

  • Ha Ha thats really funny...the spray regarding the conservation theme that is..what bollocks..it is scantily clad birds farting around in the jungle etc the conservation theme is a just an afterthought but it sounds good and there is a lot of product advertisement exploiting that whole 'green' thing.
