Archbishop Desmond Tutu is the real Stig.

You thought The Stig’s secret identity had been uncovered a few weeks ago?

But in Sydney today Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson revealed who The Stig really is under the white race suit -- Archbishop Desmond Tutu.

Asked by carsguide.com.au whether there was any point in The Stig continuing to wear a black visor, and what would replace the line ``All we know is he’s called The Stig’’ – now we know what he’s called, Clarkson deflected the question.

``You think The Stig is a man in Bristol who lives in a pebblecrete house. This poor man is terrified as being outed as The Stig, so I may as well tell you who it is … Archbishop Desmond Tutu

During the press conference to promote their show, Clarkson also commented on how “terrified” Prime Minister Kevin Rudd looked on TV last night during his address to the nation on the state of the economy.

“I’ve never seen such a nervous man. It’s the first time we’ve seen a world leader admit we really are in deep s---.

“He genuinely looked terrified.”

The star also admitted he had a crush on Aussie feminist Germaine Greer.

“She’s still attractive … she’s a good looking woman,” she said.

well the australian top gear is shit, most of the presenters are crap especially the guy with the beard, change all the cast and try not tocopy the britts version. i love the british version, when are the box sets coming out of the whole series? i think the stig is zabeem smitt, the girl who drove the van around the german track. sory for the spelling as havent my glasses on. keep up the great shows uk thanks ian

Somehow I doubt Jezza is being honest, theres no way Desmond Tutu is the stig. It has to be the James Bond Stunt Driver. If you belive Clarkson about him being Dez Tutu then you are gullable.

Jezza is lying about this one. The Stig isn't actually Desmond Tutu but rather Desmond's much faster brother Aroottee Tutu.
