While I'd prefer to see real cars and landscapes, I think this ad mightn't be too bad for the target audience, which are younger Ford fans who might otherwise buy a Skyline or something similar.
But good on George Porvey for staying on topic!

I saw this add playing during the V8 Supercar broadcast on Saturday to its target audience - people like me who watch the sport and have a reasonable disposable income. And what else did I see? Roland Dane and Dick Johnson revealing how their teams and Britek had been shafted by Ford who are now limiting sponsorship to FPR and SBR with the latter having generally performed less well than 888 recently yet they are OK with Ford because apparently they don't have red (Holden) coloured cars - seriously. The add looks semi OK for having been done on the comparative cheap, but the bad taste Ford leaves in my mouth right now puts me right off the F6 I was seriously considering. Any money saved by dumping team sponsorship will hopefully be lost in bad press given the fans' loyalties to their teams and given these same people are the target audience for this segment. Ford finally produces a great and possibly legendary model with the F6 at least and puts potential buyers off side instantly. Has all of this been carefully thought through?
