  • If the next Falcon is a front wheel dive, it will not win another award. Please Ford keep it rear wheel drive, otherwise it will be another piece of crap like a Toyota Altise, or Nissan Maxima or a Mitsubishi 380.

  • A great car the FG pity though they dropped the FAIRMONT GHIA badge and all the extra interior lighting. I currently own a '96 EL FAIRMONT GHIA V8, which to me is a gorgeous car to drive and look at. I am looking to update to another Ford but I'm hesitating as to actually buying one, seeing that they don't offer an optional V8 except on XR8 or FPV models, which do not fill the bill for me. I want a " hamburger with the lot" and the those models just mentioned don't cut it with me. I would resort to a Holden Calaise, was it not for their bad reputation concerning their electrics and poor engine management. Vasco.

  • geez you people are unbelievable... it has nothing to do with ford .vs. holden....the people voted the falcon a better car....i would probably pick a different car if it was entirely my choice and i didnt have to take price into consideration.....i would have to say that you should all grow up!!

  • I thought that the meaning peoples choise means that, the majority of people choose that particular car over another and not the opinon of a web site. people choose to buy ford over commodore, year right at lest car sales got it right!

  • Its a pity Ford doesn't sell the falcon on the US.Would be a great seller.........

  • What's wrong with being the 3rd/4th best selling vehicle in the country? Sedan sales of Falcon have exceeded Commodore recently too. Ute sales are ahead of Commodore Ute YTD too. The factory at Broadmeadows is literally building all the Utes, Sedans, Wagons & Territorys it can. Ford sell more locally built cars than anyone. A touch over 2850 Falcons, 1400 Utes & 1050 Territory in Nov 2009. Add in the rich model mix compared to VE which is mostly Omega. It augers well for Ford. Great vehicle, well deserved.

  • Did anybody expect otherwise that G series Falcon would win it was clearly the best car as far as build, equipment and style is concerned. It has a great engine that delivers enough power and fuel economy to make anybody happy. It is just a pity that more people don't buy what is a good car.

  • It's funny that this is not reflected in unit sales...
