It?s surprising many of the new cars we see in show rooms these days don?t have five wheels, or one sunken headlight in the middle of the grill.

Lo-tech autoclub
By Jonah Wigley
Curiously, Jonah Wigley's interest in cars was a result of the anger and frustration caused by them. First it was the Moke, kindly donated by his father that conked out every time it spat rain – probably due to the stupidly positioned distributor and the fingertip-less rubber glove that covered it. Then it was the 1979 Honda Accord. A great little car before the clutch went, the radiator cracked, the muffler fell off...

Several bodge jobs later and without really knowing it, he started to appreciate the way a car was put together, and how great a well made car can look and feel. He hopes that his posts will help!
