It didn’t take long for car enthusiasts to take the mickey out of the fake hoon footage on A Current Affair earlier this week…

Scathing, a senior member of this forum, posted this beauty …

"I recently watched a video that glorifies speed and modified cars. It had some guy driving a souped up old V8 Falcon driving his car at crazy speeds in a national park on roads that I've seen families in caravans driving up and down. He could have killed someone with his horrific behaviour!

The guy lives in pretend land for a living, but he thinks he's a bleedin' race driver. He became proof how dangerous it is to drive like a hoon when he filmed himself crashing into a tree. He's lucky no-one was injured, but next time that hypothetical family might not be so lucky.

Get this maniac off our roads.

His name is Eric. Crazy Eric. That's all the details about him I know, so I'm appealing to everyone else on JDMST to keep an eye out for him. But be careful of approaching him and riling him up - you won't like him when he's angry."

.....................................................................................................................................................

And today… this one, spoofing the ‘I Am The Stig’ t-shirts. It looks like Carlo may end up with a fairly high profile.

  • This is the funniest spoof!  I certainly hope it gets back to ACA and perhaps they’ll curb their creative journalism in the future…(wishful thinking I suppose)

  • It’s amazing how almost anything can be made to look bad when you strip context out of it, and then get creative with your editing.
