Webber drives FPV

Renault driver Mark Webber has gone to Ford ? kinda.

With the Renault Formula One bosses now out of the country, FPV has released a photo showing that Mark Webber wasn’t relying on Renault power entirely for his stint at the Melbourne Grand Prix. While in Australia, Webber apparently had the use of this Australian-built 310kW FPV (Ford Performance Vehicles) F6 to get around in.

Webber, who last drove a Ford when he was with the now defunct Jaguar team, reportedly reluctantly handed back the keys this morning before jetting off to KL for this weekend's Malaysian Grand Prix.

"What a great car ... this is what I miss in Europe ... awesome Aussie muscle cars," Webber apparently said.

  • I dont get what this reporter is hinting to, it seems to long a statment to make to have maybe said by some one else. For god sake you are a reporter, he said it or he did not say it. Just goes to show that that typical reporters will never accept anything good about an honest Australian made car.
