The future look of Mazda went on show this week in Milan with the unveiling of a new concept car.
The Shinari is the first car from Mazda's new design direction named ‘Kodo’, which is Japanese for ‘the soul of motion’.
While the streamlined shape suggests a coupe, the flowing lines camouflage the four-door body, following in the path set by the Mercedes-Benz CLS and similar luxury brands who have developed ‘four-door coupes’.
The Shinari is expected to get its official unveiling at the Paris Motor Show in September, but was unveiled at the preview event by Mazda design boss Ikuo Maeda, who says it points to the next generation of cars and also to other elements that will be revealed in the future.
