Aston Martin has finally gone public with its raunchy new supercar.

The One-77 is exactly the sort of car James Bond should be driving in the next 007 movie, from its super-aggressive nose to flared guards which prove it has been in the gym and pumping massive amounts of steroids.

Aston teased with peeks of the 0ne-77 at the Detroit Motor Show last year but ripped the wraps off at the Geneva Motor Show - although there is still no confirmation of a pricetag likely to be in the $1 million region.

But the British sports car company has confirmed there will only be 77 copies of its new hero.

The mechanical package for the One-77 is built around a rigid carbon fibre monocoque chassis fitted with a 7.3-litre V12 engine with power in excess of 560kW.

The car's weight should be in the 1500 kilo region, light enough for a 0-100km/h sprint in around 3.5 seconds and a top speed on the far side of 320km/h.

Other go-fast gear on the car includes giant Pirelli P Zero tyres on 20-inch rims, a robotized six-speed sequential manual gearbox, carbon ceramic brakes and what Aston calls 'Dynamic Suspension Spool Valve' technology.

  • That would be a brilliant car. It would be lovely in a Bond movie, especially with all the gadgets. I cannot wait.

  • Well our local Motor show had Aston Martin on the stand in 2005. I already know there would be a Motor show in Sydney this year. But I wouldn't know if Aston Martin will appear in next the Sydney Motor if next year or 2011. We'll have wait & see. The Aston Martin 0ne-77 is a good look car. I do love it.

  • Hi everyone I'm fan of British cars. The Aston Martin 0NE-77 looks great & Excellent. I read the productions relase either end of this year or early next year. I read in a James Bond web most Bond fans favour This Aston Martin for 007 to drive in the next film well I hope in First choice. V12 Vantage,DBS Volante or Limo Rapide I also hope. Most poeple hope An Aston Martin again in the next Bond Film(Bond 23).
