The Brisbane Motor Show revs up this Friday.
Gleaming chrome, shining paintwork and powerful engines will share the limelight this year at the 2008 Brisbane International Motor Show with two wheels and "grease monkeys".
After a couple of years' absence, Honda, Suzuki and Kawasaki will return to the show which starts next Friday.
The Japanese bike manufacturers will have major motorcycle displays with several debut models, while BMW will show two new bike releases on its car stand.

The 10-day motor show traditionally has been a favourite venue for enthusiasts to catch up with the latest in the motorcycle and scooter world.
The return of some of the biggest brands in the Australian market is an acknowledgement that the tens of thousands of motor show patrons include many current and prospective motorcycle owners with significant disposable incomes to spend on their leisure.
Motorcycling is enjoying a popularity boom throughout Australia, including Queensland, where the warm weather and good roads are ideal for touring.
Australian sales have grown by around 70 per cent in the past five years and reached a record 129,966 in 2007, according to the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries.
And showing that modern motor mechanics are hardly "grease monkeys", there will be a special Careers Day on Tuesday, February 5, presented by the Motor Trades Association of Queensland.
Potential apprentice mechanics, panel beaters, auto electricians and auto painters will be among the trades displayed.
There will be information on courses and apprenticeships and visitors can ask questions of the tradies.
