Honda Accord Euro 2.4

Replacing the first Accord Euro was never going to be easy.

Honda's clean-sheet approach created a bigger, brighter and more refined prestige family sedan that is strong on safety, comfort and quality.

Though structurally fresh, Honda made ostensibly small mechanical changes, reviving the previous Euro's smallish 2.4-litre engine and retaining a six-speed manual or auto box.

Within a heavier body the engine is marginally thirstier but the Euro's fuel economy is only a fraction of the story.

This is a premium Japanese car - one of the few Hondas actually made in japan - that rides with European solidity with predictable cornering that acknowledges its taut chassis.

It is an impressive step forward and rides and drives so well it is better than Europeans at almost twice the price.

  • HAVE YOUR SAY - WHICH CAR DO YOU THINK SHOULD WIN?

The new Honda Accord just does everything right. It has all the features you want and the performance and looks to match.

I have had a honda since 1980. Extremeely good to drive in the country where I get my best fuel economy. I only wish that my car was Australian made and designed, but I understand that the Japanese have many more people on the quality control. THIS IS WHAT AUSTRALIA MUST DO SO THAT WE GET A QUALITY CAR AT THE RIGHT PRICE. I currently have a Euro Luxury. The only two things I don’t like about it is that it is too low. Consequently the bottom scrapes on some drive ins and the sky roof

Another great car in the Honda Accord Euro line.
I do have some questions for Honda Australia.
Why is the Turbo Diesel powered version of this car not being imported - Honda Australia imported an example of the previous Euro with Diesel power, and a statement was made that the next model of the Accord Euro it would be seriously considered. I would certainly buy one - hopefully with a full sized spare.
The next question is about another variant of the Accord Euro:
Is Honda Australia considering importing the Accord Euro Touring (Wagon variant) a beautiful vehicle -really great with the Turbo Diesel power unit - I cannot believe there is not a ready market for this vehicle, after all VolksWagen are doing very nicely with the Passat Wagon. What is the rationale for ignoring this great car fro the Australian market.

The Euro is a classy vehicle with style and comfort. The type of car I would be happy to be seen in.

Have never owned a Honda but having examined all the contenders, I feel that both interior & exterior design, & class, leaves the others behind. This is one hell of a beautiful looking motor car & gives the impression that it is all quality, sophistication & driving pleasure.

Currently have a 2005 Honda Euro and have been enormously impressed with smooth handling, comfort and performance. Hope to update to the new improved version in the near future.

Keep up the excellence Honda!

The Honda Accord Euro - it’s well built, stylish, resonably economical, not too big.  It’s a car that’s comfortable to be in. Most importantly, it’s a car that offers luxury at a bargain price

Why does the Euro luxury model come with Space saver spare tyre! Even though the base model has it!!

A dealer told me that it didn’t really matter about spare tyres today, asking me how many times i had a flat tyre. But it’s not a matter of frequency but of when you do have a flat! Riding on a space saver is inconveient and unsafe…
