Not only the best Ford Australia has built, but also a contender for the best car Australia has built. Full stop.
There's all the space of a large family sedan, and yet it doesn't feel bloated or flaccid. Or boring.
At the luxury end of the FG range, it's the best looking variant, and the turbo engine's 270kW/533Nm outputs can make mincemeat of a long highway haul.
The suspension is set-up towards the compliancy of a luxury ride, but has been tuned to also offer enough firmness for a sporty response without descending into the bone-jarring category.
A five-hour round trip over both urban and rural roads presented a convincing argument for the G6E's ability, performance and road manners.
Nothing upset or challenged it, and the highway cruising settled into a particularly pleasurable outing.
With leather upholstery, satnav and reversing camera filling out the standard equipment list, there's not much more you could ask of an Aussie car.

I own a Ford BA 2004 Futura. I love it… I am only 18, but i do lots of driving and it is just the best. I work in a used car yard so I get to drive lots of different cars, and so far, Ford has always been a nicer drive.
I can’t wait to get off my P’s so I can buy one of these FG Falcons!
Watched the Top gear test of these falcons and they are awesome!
And I wouldn’t buy a car that wasnt made here in ozi for our roads and by our people! Go Australia motoring!

great style 5star safety rating , great performance , full of extras ,
and of coarse a ford what more could you ask for in an australian built

If you love the BF MK11 2007 the G6E Turbo would have to be the best thing to drive ,as the Ford ‘s just keep getting better & better.
And that is saying something . I used to be a holden person so & so

i own three fords and by all accounts the new range is terrific would definately consider the new range for the next family/sport car.
Ford should definately win this one.
