I own a 2005 Honda Accord Euro its great .Now i have test driven the new Euro its even better and l believe the to be the pick of the bunch. But this being an Australian award l bet ya it goes to the G6E Turbo

Driving to work this morning the price of diesel was 35 cents a litre more than unleaded. I feel sorry for all you diesel owners but you have been sucked in. The price difference will only continue to increase and as such the COTY can not be a diesel. The Tiguan is a good vehicle but I think the Subaru Forester would have been a better inclusion as a SUV in the final 10.

Currently drive a G6E and I couldn’t not vote for the G6E Turbo.
My first Ford was BF XR6 and after 2 years in it I had to have the new model.

what other vehicle can even come close to the G6E for practicality cost effectiveness design and performance with economy FORDs rule

The FG deserves to win. It is a fantastic vehicle and beats the competition. It is certainly ahead of it’s class.

+1 vote for Ford.

I have just clicked over 4000km in my new G6ETurbo and I must say that it is a great car. It has all of the luxury and safety features that a family of 4 could ask for with V8 killing performance. Fuel economy is excellent for a large luxury performance car at around 11-12l/100km for everyday driving(with only 4000km on the clock) and in every way, including financially, I love this car and it deserves to win.

This award should be for the car that does everything very well. In my book the FG should win it. It has style and great modern looks, handles, steer, drives and performs better than any other car in its class and better than alot above or below it as well. And the fuel economy can be very very good as well. And what about the price ? it is a great buy !!! If it doesnt win then this award it is a joke ..........

This is a strange selection of finalists indeed.  Audi, BMW and Fiat are a joke in terms of value.  Some current Fiats are better than they are given credit for, but not the 500. And the Holden with that ancient four speed auto? I agree that the Forester could have been beeen a better contender. And a VW diesel? Having used a Tiguan in UK this year I was disappointed at its merely competent but ordinary performance, fuel economy, and handling. Surely the disadvantages of diesel can’t make any sense in Australia where inexplicably it costs significanty more than petrol.
