World's lowest roadworthy car

The 'Mirai' -- which measures just 45.2 cm from the ground to highest point -- was the brainchild of engineering students and teachers at Japan's Okayama Sanyo High School in Asakuchi.

The high school team built the chassis, body, suspension, steering, LED lights and interior fit-out.

The Mirai is powered by a pack of six batteries, sourced from Japanese company CQ motors, the switching console was used from a motorbike.
