Von Bibra car site moves up a gear

The work was undertaken to increase capacity for the dealership.

The project has seen the addition of Nissan and Honda workshops totalling 1500sq m with 29 service bays and a car wash, as well as a 1200sq m parts store with additional mezzanine storage.

A 500sq m office space has also been added with an additional roof carpark with room for 112 vehicles. The work was undertaken by Condev Constructions, whose director Steve Marais said the work provided significantly increased capacity for the dealership, which in turn will benefit customers.

"While Wade and his team have first class facilities, it's become clear that the market is there to build on this service,'' he said. Von Bibra group general manager Wade von Bibra says Condev were a first port-of-call when it came to the formative stages of the new work.

"Condev's offices are based just around the corner from our dealership, and we wanted to give them the opportunity to tender for the project,'' Mr von Bibra says. "The tender was very competitive and the commitment to the project from all involved was excellent.''

Mr von Bibra says the upgraded facilities are necessary to ensure the company can continue to service a growing population. "We see Robina as a fantastic growth corridor on the Gold Coast. It's geographically very central to the Coast and even in these more challenging economic times there is still a great commitment to develop this area,'' Mr von Bibra says.

"Our Holden business has been growing steadily and with the introduction of Nissan and Honda to the area there's a definite need to build a state-of-the-art service facility and parts warehouse to cater for our clients.''
