2014 Audi S3 Cabriolet | new car sales price

Drop-top Audi S3 joins Sportback and Sedan models in Australia.

Audi has today announced pricing for its newest topless performance model, the S3 Cabriolet.

Priced from $69,300, the convertible performer is now the most expensive S3 model available, sitting above the $59,900 S3 Sportback and $62,200 S3 Sedan.

Like the rest of the S3 range, the Cabriolet is powered by a 210kW/380Nm 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine.

For 2014 the entire S3 range receives a small power bump from 207kW to the 210kW of the new Cabriolet, though this is still down on the 221kW that the S3 produces in overseas markets. Our S3 models are detuned because of Australia’s relatively warm climate.

Available exclusively with Audi’s six-speed S Tronic dual-clutch automatic gearbox, the all-wheel drive convertible can hit 100km/h in 5.5 seconds – around half a second slower than its hard-top siblings which are close to 170kg lighter.

Combined fuel consumption for the new model is 7.1L/100km.

The S3’s electrically operated fabric roof can be opened or closed in 18 seconds at speeds of up to 50km/h. With the roof closed cargo space totals 285-litres.

The Cabriolet rides on sports suspension with optional adaptive magnetic dampers available, and sits 25mm lower than lesser A3 convertibles.

Visually the S3 drop-top benefits from a sports body kit, quad-tip exhaust system and S-specific 18-inch alloys.

Standard features on the S3 Cabriolet include, Xenon headlights with LED daytime running lamps and LED taillights, satnav, front and rear parking sensors with reversing camera, leather sports seats, Bluetooth phone and audio and proximity keys.

Buyers can also opt for the $4990 ‘S Performance’ package which includes, LED headlights, Bang & Olufsen stereo, magnetic dampers, diamond-quilter sports leather seats, red front and rear brake calipers and 19-inch alloys.
