When is a new car a demo?

How can I find out the build date of a new car if it's not noted anywhere on the vehicle, and how many km maximum should a 'new' car have on the speedo before it become a 'demo'.

The build date must be on the plate attached to the vehicle, if there isn't a plate showing the date the car was built there is something dodgy going on. If you want to check a build date take the serial number and engine number from the car in question and ask the relevant carmaker to check the date from their records. There are no fixed rules about the number of kays a car can have on it before it becomes a demo, but I wouldn't want more than a hundred or so on a 'new' car I was buying.
