    Transmission issues for Pathfinder

    Nissan Nissan Advice Nissan Pathfinder Nissan Pathfinder Advice Nissan Pathfinder 2009

    With no warning the auto transmission in my 2009 Nissan Pathfinder disintegrated at 130,000 km. The cost of repairs is about $5000-$6000. Have you had any feedback on what seems to be major problem?

    It isn't unusual to have a problem with the auto at that sort of mileage. Most appear to be down to a problem with the oil cooler splitting, which allows coolant to enter the transmission, which can then cause problems with the inbuilt ECU.
