I have read the stories about the price reduction on the Nissan Patrol Y62 and I see online that there are 2013-built cars, with 2015 compliance plates, at zero kilometres and drive-away prices. Apart from the build year, is there any difference between a 2013 and a 2015 Y62? Is it a case of inventory which has been sitting for the past two years awaiting buyers? And what happens at resale time?
There are changes to the latest Patrols including repositioning of the gearlever but the basics are still the same. The biggest problem is that resale will be based on the build year, not compliance. Even Nissan insiders admit you should push for a bigger discount than the recent cut from $93,390 to $69,990 for the 2015 Patrol.
