    Ford Mondeo 2015: Delayed delivery of diesel hatchbacks

    My employer has arranged a lease for a Ford Mondeo Trend diesel hatchback for me and it was initially requested for a March delivery. Due to unavailability of the car in March my current lease was extended to June. We were recently told a car would not be available until July. Then last week we were told it will not be available until September due to a "manufacturing delay". I find this confusing, considering Ford proudly announced to the media the Mondeo would be available in May. Have you heard if there are issues with the new model?

    Ford spokesman Neil McDonald answers: "We have delays with diesel Mondeos but that's been the case since launch".
