Ford Falcon 2004: Heat exchanger problems

The ZF heat exchanger in my 2010 FG Falcon failed at 113,000km, but Ford has wiped its hands of the problem. The matter is now in the hands of fair trading/small claims. Is there any information on class action being taken by Ford owners, $6000 is a hefty penalty to pay when the vehicle has been fully serviced and the transmission failure is a direct result of a known and well documented product defect.

As you say this is a known and well-documented problem, one you would hope Ford takes responsibility for. I'm not aware of any class action being taken by owners against Ford over the matter, you are doing the right thing by going to fair trading/small claims for a resolution.
