Toyota: Servicing every 6 months

Most carmakers specify a service period of 12 months or distance traveled, but Toyota specifies servicing every six months irrespective of distance traveled. I have a 2008 Toyota Corolla Levin ZR auto that is next due for servicing at 60,000 km, even though it's only done 29,000 km. I have checked the oil and it's just as clean as when it went in. Do you think I could have the car serviced every 12 months in lieu of six?

Given the your low annual distance traveled and the fact that it's out of warranty, I would think you could stretch the oil change period to 12 months, but no longer.
