Aftermarket brakes warping?

I read your item that using certain after-market brake pads will reduce brake dust. This is certainly true and, when living overseas, I also solved the issue by fitting after-market parts. However, during a single emergency stop travelling at (very) high speed, the pads overheated and warped the rotors. Lower speeds in Australia would make this less likely but I can see a possibility of the same scenario if descending a mountain pass. Ultimately there will be a compromise using brake pads generating less dust.

The item was about Bendix Euro+ pads and, based on their testing and my experience of the brand, a problem like yours is not something I'd worry about.
