My in-laws have a problem with their 2010 Holden Cruze CDX automatic. They say they lose all forward gears when they select either drive or use the squelch mode. When they select reverse, the car seems to select it and move under its own power. The car has been towed back to a mechanic, not a Holden dealer, and my in-laws were informed the auto must be replaced, at an estimated $8000 for the complete transmission.
They should go immediately to Holden HQ at Fishermans Bend, as they are far from alone and Holden has been quietly replacing automatics in a number of cases I have reported. This is another one.
