The 2006 Holden Astra I bought from a car dealer is a lemon. I had a re-inspection by the NRMA, which proved that some of the repairs requested under warranty haven't been attended to. Some of the repairs that were done were also billed to me. I'd like full refund of the repairs I have been charged for, and, if possible, a refund of what I paid for the car, as I now wish to buy a brand new car. What am I entitled to and how to proceed, please?
First you need to make sure you have all of the documentation relating to your claim, and hopefully supporting it. If the dealer won't come to the party take your claim to the Motor Traders Association of NSW and ask for their advice. You could also consult the Department of Fair Trading. Failing that legal action is always available to you.
