Spy shot Bugatti Bordeaux

Bugatti is aiming straight for the British luxury brand with an all- new car called the Bordeaux. It will be the second car in the Bugatti range, joining the Veyron.

The difference this time is that the Bordeaux — named after a town in France, and the red wine that comes from the region — is a full four- door luxury machine.

It is likely to pick up the mechanical package from the Veyron, including its quad-turbo, 8-litre W16 engine and all-wheel drive system, but still be much larger, heavier and more luxurious.

First details of the Bordeaux have only just emerged from Europe ahead of its first appearance at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, but the sketch artists at Carparazzi have already been busy.

They see a car with a nose similar to the Veyron, and the same sort of rounded body shape as the 400km/h supercar, but with much more emphasis on cabin space, the back seat and boot.

Bugatti has sent out exclusive invitations to a preview of the Bordeaux at Frankfurt and they show a couple of tantalising details of the car. There are four exhaust pipes on each side of the rear end, together with horseshoe-shaped tail lamps and a vertical brake light which points to a split rear window.
